Introducing... Fred and Ethel. They are budgies or more commonly known as parakeets. I adventured out to the gardens yesterday while Jim was at work -- and came across what is known as the pet market. What an interesting place to visit. Birds, turtles, fish (BIG KOI), rats, gerbils, chipmunks and of course kittens and dogs. Know those of you who know me well, know that I have a real admiration for animals...Jim says he is married to Mrs. Doolittle. I could not leave without bringing home something. So..... I adopted the two sweet budgies.
I will let you know if we are successful in teaching them a few words. Perhaps they will be "bilingual".
